Glory Stories – 1/27/10

by jbowles on Jan.29, 2010, under Uncategorized

There is nothing that excites me more than hearing a good testimony.  Except of course being able to share that testimony with other people.  That’s even more exciting.  So every now & then I’m going to post some of the amazing stories that are circulating in our world here in Austin, TX.  We call em GLORY STORIES!

Last night at XL we had a POWERFUL time in the presence of God!  I am still hearing amazing reports of all that God did.  Early yesterday morning, I had felt that our Wednesday night experience was going to be a special time.  This whole month we have been focusing on hunger and zeal.  Each week we have seen an increase in the passion of the young people and the power of God being manifest in our midst.  Last night was definitely the final surge into a new level of ministry for us in 2010.

It was wild, or should I say WYLD! (That’s how you spell it when things just get straight crazy!). The youth were out of control in worship. Running around the room, dancing with a new found UN-dignity, and even crowd surfing.  Being a crowd surfing veteran myself, I couldn’t resist.  When the Spirit of the Lord moves upon my heart, I will surf like David surfed.

As we went into a deep time of worship, you could really sense that the love of God was moving all over drawing people closer.  I shared briefly about the Prodigal Son, the unconditional love of our Great Father, and eternal life (1 John 5:11-12, ZOE!).  After a simple invitation, More than 20 kids gave their lives to the Lord with tears in their eyes.  We then moved into a time ministry for healing & deliverance.  A few of our CSM interns gave powerful words of knowledge concerning specific ailments both physical & emotional, all of which were RIGHT  ON!  Then the Power of God manifested all over the room! No prayer lines, no special altar call, just YOUTH ministering to YOUTH! Here are some of the testimonies that were shared in service:

-Broken finger instantly healed, brace was removed & full movement was restored.

-Damaged rotator cuff was healed.  Full mobility was restored with no pain. (He had been on pain killers the previous week.)

-A young woman with pain in her wrist had a surgery scheduled.  Last night, all pain left and the surgery was canceled this morning!

-Many young people were freed of the burden of depression and received the JOY of the Lord.

-A young lady with a metal plate in her wrist/forearm causing restricted movement was able to move it freely!

The list could go on and on.  When you make room for God to move, HE ALWAYS SHOWS UP!

As we ended the service, there was some serious FIYA in the room as we announced an upcoming event with THE WHOSOEVERS in March.  2010 has gotten off to a wonderful start!

I’d love to hear some of your recent glory stories, please feel free to leave a comment and share the great things that God is doing in and through YOU!  Much love, Be blessed.

JB

PS: (Read “Releasing the Power of Jesus” by Pastor Bill Johnson, you’ll get fired up about testimonies too!)
